MWAN Kwara was inaugurated in 2007 with Dr H. A. Akande as its pioneer president.
• The membership strength is 149, with 11 executive officials. The current president and secretary are
Dr Bilqis Wuraola Alatishe-Muhammad and Dr Misturah Yetunde Adana.
• Recent achievements include procurement of a vehicle for association activities and obtaining
space for the MWAN Wellness Clinic and temporary secretariat at the Basic Health Centre,
Kulende, Ilorin, courtesy of the Kwara State Ministry of Health.
• Our most pressing goal is to achieve full participation of all female doctors in Kwara State.
